my mind in anguish,

breathless I run,

limb & arm,

a ghostly laugh echoes, mocking me,

voices whisper,

the darkness within,

so close,

so far,

surrounding me,

​a silhouette,

never far behind,

​his footsteps,

treading near,

​

wake me up,​

kaleidoscope of fear,

falling,

desperate,

escape further still,

​foretelling a past,

my palms reveal,

blood covered leaves,

sticking to me,

​what can this mean,

silent screams,

mute to the ears,

the truth,

haunting me?

shadow & light,

set me free,

this endless forest,

of my dream!
